Narrativa 2026

Join us for three nights of narrative improv featuring top international storytelling improv groups.

Their stories will unfold live each evening with no scripts, no safety nets, just skilled improvisers building compelling narratives in real time. Watch as characters discover themselves, relationships shift and deepen, and plot twists emerge from the energy between performers and audience.

By the end of each performance you'll have witnessed a story that has never been told before and will never be told again…

All evenings will be hosted at Teatro SalaOFF.

  • TOURNUS (mixer)

    Directed by Gael Doorneweerd-Perry

Fully improvised theatre where the cast rotates between performers, set designers, and running lights and music. Three stories unfold while brilliant improvisers keep the show rolling.

  • KING'S WHIM

Played by Feña Ortalli & Diego Ingold

A playwright and a jester must work together to create a story that will please the king, and they only have 30 minutes to fulfill his whim. Their lives depend on it.

  • I WILL SURVIVE

    Played by Narrativa cast

An unscripted play set in the 90s exploring the AIDS crisis. Boy band songs, walkmans, and colorful sweaters. Nostalgic, deep, fun.

FRIDAY MARCH 27
Doors open: 7:15pm / Show start: 7:30pm

  • MAN BAND (mixer)

    Directed by Katy Schutte

The boy band is back together for one last gig. A musical comedy with gender-blind casting, matching jackets, and heart-throbs aplenty.

  • THE WINCHESTERS

Played by Katy Schutte & Gael Doorneweerd-Perry

Mr and Mrs Winchester handle matters of object manipulation, ungodly manifestations, and inexplicable horrors. They may pass into darker realms.

  • SOUND OFF (silent show)

Played by Anne Rab & Ursula Anna Baumgartner

Vienna's BEMME & MELANGE enter a world where spoken language doesn't matter. Nothing will be spoken but a story will be narrated anyway.

SATURDAY MARCH 28
Doors open: 7:15pm / Show start: 7:30pm

  • POSTCARDS FROM THE FUTURE PAST (mixer)

    Directed by Anne Rab

One location shifts through time. Past, present, and imagined futures. Lovers who never met, ghosts who haven't died yet.

  • OBJECT OF AFFECTION

    Played by Gael Doorneweerd-Perry & Laura Doorneweerd-Perry

What if objects could fall in love? A pencil and an eraser. A tea kettle and a chocolate bar. We follow their impossible love story.

  • ROH'S CHOICE

Played by Narrativa cast & friends

Three movie trailers to choose from. Characters made up on the spot with your suggestions. A full narrative movie made up of your choices, what could go wrong?
