Community Events
Building connections beyond the workshops
One of our favorite things about improv festivals: the moments between the official programming where real friendships form. At Narrativa, we're building in time for exactly that.
Throughout the festival, we're hosting optional community events. These aren't workshops or rehearsals. They're chances to slow down, meet people, and build the kinds of friendships that last beyond the festival weekend.
All events are free and open to anyone attending the festival. Come to all of them, pick your favorites, or skip them entirely—it's your festival experience.
Wednesday: Opening Party & Murder Mystery
Kick off the festival by meeting your fellow improvisers! For those who want to play, we'll have an optional murder mystery game running (register when you arrive). Drop in and out as you like. Otherwise, grab a drink, get to know your fellow festival-goers, and celebrate the start of the weekend together.
Time: 7:30pm onwards
Location: The VLC Playground
Thursday: Cozy Juicy Real
A connection-focused board game designed to help strangers become friends. Our community members created this game specifically to foster meaningful conversations, and they'll facilitate the session. Expect vulnerability, laughter, and stories you'll remember long after Valencia.
Time: 4:30-6:30pm
Location: CaRevolta
Friday: Valencia Walking Tour
Explore Valencia with a local guide and fellow festival participants. One of our community members will lead a walking tour through the city, sharing hidden gems and stories you won't find in guidebooks. A perfect way to experience Valencia's character while connecting with other improvisers.
Time: 4:30-6:30pm
Meeting point: [LOCATION TBC]
Note: If we have high interest, we'll organize multiple small tour groups to keep the experience intimate.
Saturday: Turia Park Picnic
Bring your own food and join us for a casual picnic in Valencia's beautiful Turia Gardens. A relaxed way to socialize, enjoy the spring weather, and connect with other improvisers before the evening's shows.
Time: 4:30-6:30pm
Location: [LOCATION IN TURIA PARK TBC]
Weather permitting. If it rains, we'll let you know alternative plans.
Sunday: Closing Celebration
Wrap up the festival weekend together. Hang out, share stories, and celebrate the community we've built. We'll have music playing and good vibes flowing. A relaxed way to say goodbye before everyone heads home.
Time: [TBC, after Sunday workshops]
Location: CaRevolta
