Ensemble Team Intensive

Join an ensemble of advanced improvisors.
Learn and perform nightly over the course of 3 days.
All mixers directed by Chris Mead.

What’s new this year

Last year, our mixers were standalone 1-day workshops (culminating in an evening performance) that performers could join individually. This year, we’re doing something different. We’ve reimagined our mixers to be a single ensemble experience, directed from start to finish by Chris Mead.

A cast of 8-10 improvisers from around the world will come together for all three days of workshops and perform in all three nightly shows.

How it works

  • Three workshops, three performances. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday workshops each culminate in a performance each night.

  • One ensemble. The same cast will be learning and performing together all 3 days in order to build trust, shared language, and momentum across the weekend.

  • One director. Chris Mead will teach and direct every mixer, so your work builds on itself.

This mixer series requires an application: see our FAQ for how applications work.

About Chris Mead

Anne Rab has been working as an actor, director, and theatre educator since 2010 in Leipzig, Germany. She is part of the leadership team of Momenta, the international festival for improvisation in Leipzig, and a long-standing member of Theaterturbine.

In 2017, Anne moved to Vienna, Austria, where she continues to teach, direct, and perform regularly within the Viennese improv community. Her passion for improvisation began more than 15 years ago in a clown ensemble that created wordless stories—a foundation that continues to inspire her work today. She remains deeply fascinated by the exploration of non-verbal improvisation and teaches bodywork to actors, improvisers, and anyone eager to discover and learn through movement.
